[ About ]

A small shop, kept like a notebook.

Quirewell is a small paper goods shop: cloth-bound notebooks, cotton writing paper, pens, ink and the few desk things that make writing by hand a pleasure.

[ House rules ]

Three rules, written in ink.

  1. Chosen slowly

A small range of paper, pens and ink, picked one at a time for writing in rather than for show.

  2. Described plainly

What it is, what it costs, how many are left. Every item gets its own page, with the paper weight and size spelled out.

  3. Paid for plainly

One basket, one honest total and one secure checkout page, whenever you are ready.

[ The shop ]

One list. Many years.

Quirewell started with a list written on the back of an envelope — a notebook that lies flat, a paper that takes ink, a pen worth keeping. Everything we stock still has to pass that test: would it earn its place on the desk, for years, not a season?

So we keep the range small and the descriptions plain. Every notebook, pen and sheet gets a page of its own with what it is, what it costs and how many we have, and nothing on it shouts. Good things don’t need a countdown clock.

Take your time. Write the list, flip the paper, come back tomorrow.
